The Waterlilies - Creative Access Resource - 2021

The Waterlilies Creative Access Resource was developed as a prototype for the National Museum of Wales to support gallery visitors with impaired vision to experience and enjoy Claude Monet's 'The Waterlilies' painted in 1905. Constructed from dip-dyed silk the waterlily houses an MP3 player with a soundscape recreating the story of how this beautiful and iconic painting came to Wales after being purchased in 1913 by Gwendoline Davies.

The soundscape is available in English and Welsh, and can be to listened to below, where you will also find a link to 'The Waterlilies', part of the online collection of the National Museum of Wales.
